As a Creative Director of a branding company, when any kind of holiday rolls around, I take it upon myself to go obnoxiously above and beyond what is absolutely necessary. To be honest, I think it has less to do with my position and more so my personality in general. Either way, Christmas time is a big deal for a Flynn and when Elevate’s company Christmas party rolled around, I took it very seriously. Unfortunately, 4 days before the party on Tuesday, I still had no idea what I wanted to bring to it.

Once 3 days before the party hit, so did the perfect idea. Our entire company quotes several shows incessantly. One of them being Parks & Rec, Amy Poehler’s brain child. The idea was this: Parks & Rec themed greeting cards using greeting card-esque context and smacking them with Parks & Rec quotes. The result was me illustrating 16 cards before Tuesday and besides thinking my eyeballs were going to literally fall out of my face, they turned out pretty fun. They were also a hit at the party.
